The Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Ekiti State Police Command has recovered 558 stolen cattle and arrested 16 suspected rustlers following coordinated operations in Isan-Ekiti.

The suspects, reportedly fleeing from Kwara State due to intensified anti-banditry operations, were sighted with the stolen cattle around Gede Farm settlement in Isan-Ekiti, sparking panic in the town.

Reinforced by Amotekun operatives from Oye Local Government Command, the joint security efforts led to the successful apprehension of the suspects. During interrogation, the rustlers admitted to targeting cattle belonging to Kwara State indigenes and confessed to engaging in cattle rustling as a primary source of income.
