Nigerian international Esther Okoronkwo has committed to another year with Canadian club AFC Toronto, following an impressive debut season in the Northern Super League.

The 28-year-old forward joined Toronto on a free transfer in February 2025 and quickly became a key player for coach Marko Milanović’s squad, helping the team finish top of the regular season standings.

Despite their strong league performance, AFC Toronto fell 2-1 to Vancouver Rise FC in the playoff final. Okoronkwo’s contribution was significant, registering eight goals and 11 assists across 20 league appearances.
