The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially dispatched Certificates of Exemption for the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II to corps-producing institutions across Nigeria.

In a public announcement shared on its verified X handle on Friday, the NYSC confirmed that the certificates have been produced, sorted, and distributed nationwide. The statement marks the start of a six-month window within which graduates are expected to collect their exemption documents from their respective schools.

According to the scheme, the countdown for the return of unclaimed certificates began on October 6, 2025, in line with its existing policy on certificate management. After the six-month grace period, any unclaimed certificates will be retrieved from institutions and returned to the NYSC headquarters.

The NYSC urged graduates to liaise with their school registrars to ensure prompt collection and safe handling of the certificates.

Certificates of Exemption are typically issued to graduates above 30 years of age or those who studied through part-time or distance-learning programmes, exempting them from the one-year national service.

This announcement comes as part of NYSC’s broader effort to strengthen accountability and streamline the management of certificates, following past reports of delays and misplacement across some institutions.
