Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, has revealed that her victory in the just-concluded edition of the reality show came as a total surprise.
Speaking in a post-show interview with Arise TV, the 26-year-old said she was overwhelmed by anxiety and completely unprepared when her name was announced as the winner on Sunday.
“Winning the reality show was shocking to me. Sincerely, I was not expecting to win,” Imisi said. “Before I got to the stage, I was tensed just hearing the crowd chant my name. I was shocked when I was announced the winner.”
The Lagos-born content creator added that she hadn’t even dressed for the occasion, opting for comfort over glamour. “I wore Crocs to the stage because I am not comfortable in heels. I did not even plan for the live show,” she confessed with a laugh.
Imisi emerged champion of Big Brother Naija Season 10 after beating her closest rival, Dede, by a significant margin. Her victory earned her a ₦150 million grand prize, which includes ₦80 million in cash and a brand-new Innoson SUV, presented to her at a ceremony on Tuesday.
Her emotional win has since gone viral, with fans celebrating her authenticity, humility, and down-to-earth personality — qualities that many say set her apart throughout the season.
