The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State has suspended its State Secretary, Sa’idu Adamu, over allegations of gross misconduct and anti-party activities.
The decision was announced in a statement issued on Monday by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Maria Dogo, following a meeting of the State Executive Committee held at the PDP Secretariat in Kaduna.
According to the statement, the suspension was approved by the State Working Committee and ratified by the State Executive Committee in line with the provisions of Articles 58(1)(h) and 57(3) of the PDP Constitution (2017 as amended).
The disciplinary action takes immediate effect and will last for one month pending the outcome of investigations and further decisions by the party leadership. During this period, Adamu has been barred from participating in any PDP activity at any level.
“The PDP wishes to assure its members and the general public that the party remains resolutely committed to upholding internal discipline, fairness, and justice under the able leadership of the State Chairman, Edward Masha,” the statement read.
It added that the current disciplinary measures are part of wider efforts to strengthen the party’s internal structure, enforce accountability, and ensure that all members operate within the bounds of the party’s constitution and ethical standards.
