Sabinus Questions When Nigerians Will Unite to Demand Good Governance

Popular Nigerian comedian and skit maker Sabinus has questioned when Nigerians will unite to demand good governance and accountability from those in positions of authority.

The entertainer raised the concern in a social media post on Tuesday, saying citizens face criticism whether they speak up about national issues or choose to stay out of public affairs.

Sabinus lamented that Nigerians who demand better governance are often told to mind their business, while those who remain silent are also subjected to insults.

“A lot is going on in this country and we’re just keeping quiet. You demand for good governance, they tell you to mind your business,” the comedian wrote.

He continued by questioning why citizens who choose not to get involved in public matters are still criticised, despite attempts to avoid controversy.

“You try to mind your business, they still insult you. When are we going to come as one and demand for what we’re being owed?” he added.

The comedian’s comments focused on the need for Nigerians to stand together in seeking accountability and demanding what they believe citizens are entitled to from their leaders.

His remarks have added to wider public conversations about governance, citizens’ participation and the role of public figures in drawing attention to national challenges.

Sabinus, known for his comedy skits and online entertainment content, has used his social media platform to express concerns about the country’s situation. His latest post raises questions about whether Nigerians can find common ground in demanding better leadership and public accountability.
