Primate Ayodele Warns Tinubu of Possible Betrayal Ahead of 2027 Election

Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has warned President Bola Tinubu to be cautious of people within his political circle ahead of the 2027 presidential election, alleging that some of his associates may eventually turn against him.

The warning was contained in a statement signed by the cleric’s media aide, Osho Oluwatosin. Ayodele claimed that some people around the President were not genuinely interested in his success and were waiting for an opportunity to betray him.

Referring to the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, the cleric alleged that many attendees were driven by personal interests rather than a sincere commitment to Tinubu’s political ambitions. He also questioned the sincerity of the praises and assurances expressed at the event.

“Majority of the people at the inauguration don’t wish you well, Tinubu. They are just there for fun and to celebrate with bitterness,” Ayodele said, urging the President to distinguish between genuine supporters and those he believes may be working against him.

The cleric also cautioned Tinubu against treating defections to the APC as an automatic boost to his re-election campaign. According to him, some of those joining the party could become a political liability rather than strengthen its chances at the polls.

Ayodele further alleged that certain individuals within the President’s circle could attempt to prevent him from receiving honest advice and push capable people away to protect their own interests. He warned that such actions could have serious consequences for Tinubu’s political prospects.

The cleric predicted that the President could face a major setback if he failed to address the issues he raised before the election. He claimed that some people considered dependable might turn against Tinubu as late as two weeks before the polls, although he did not identify any individuals or provide evidence to support the prediction.

Ayodele also urged the President and his campaign team to pay greater attention to the North, claiming that more work was needed to secure support in the region. His remarks come amid preparations for the 2027 election, with political parties working to strengthen their campaigns and alliances.
