TMT Travels and Tours CEO Ifeanyi Onukwubiri has been seen in police custody as more than 200 people reportedly gather to submit formal complaints against the travel company, marking a major development in the controversy surrounding its operations.

A video posted by social media activist VeryDarkMan on Monday shows Onukwubiri inside what appears to be a police facility, standing among a large group of people who say they paid TMT Travels for visa and other travel-related services.

VeryDarkMan said the individuals had been invited to formally document their complaints and provide supporting evidence, including receipts and records of their transactions with the company. The video offers a new glimpse of the number of people seeking to have their claims examined by law enforcement.

The development follows what VeryDarkMan described as a fresh police operation that resulted in Onukwubiri’s arrest in Imo State and his subsequent transfer to Abuja. The circumstances surrounding the latest action are expected to become clearer as investigators take statements and examine documents submitted by the complainants.

TMT Travels has previously faced police scrutiny over allegations connected to visa fraud and obtaining money under false pretences. In November 2025, the Imo State Police Command announced that it was investigating allegations involving the company and said nine Nigerian passports had been recovered during the investigation.

On December 4, 2025, Onukwubiri was arraigned in Owerri and granted bail in connection with the allegations. The claims remain matters for the courts and have not been established as facts against him.

The latest development, however, has shifted attention from social media accusations to the evidence being presented directly to investigators. The statements of the complainants, receipts, passports, payment records and other documents could become important in determining the substance and scale of the allegations against TMT Travels.

For now, the central question is what investigators will establish from the evidence being submitted. The police inquiry and any subsequent court proceedings will determine whether the allegations can be substantiated and whether further legal action will follow.
