Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has turned down an invitation from Arise TV presenter Rufai Oseni to respond to claims made about him by fellow rapper Blaqbonez during a recent interview.
Oseni extended the invitation after Blaqbonez’s appearance on the programme, asking Odumodublvck to present his side of the story. The presenter said the rapper would be given an opportunity to respond to the issues raised during the interview.
In a social media post, Oseni wrote: “Dear Odomodublavk, This is an invitation to you again to have your right of reply to the interview with Blaqbonez. We encourage you to come say your own side of the story! We will be happy to welcome you!”
Odumodublvck, however, declined the invitation and instead took aim at the presenter over the spelling of his stage name.
“It’s ODUMODUBLVCK sir. You cannot even spell my name right and you want to talk to me, I am so sorry but you are a terrible journalist sir,” the rapper responded.
The exchange has added another layer to the public discussion surrounding the issues raised by Blaqbonez. Rather than accepting the invitation, Odumodublvck used his response to question Oseni’s professionalism.
Oseni’s invitation was framed as an opportunity for the rapper to exercise his right of reply and address the claims directly on the programme. Odumodublvck’s response suggests he currently has no interest in taking up that offer.
Neither rapper’s full position on the underlying claims was independently established in the material available for this report. The public exchange, however, has already drawn attention to the growing tension surrounding the two artists and their wider music-industry dispute.
