Popular Nigerian comedian and streamer Caterefe has declared that he has no plans to get married, saying his focus is firmly on building his career in streaming.

The 24-year-old entertainer made the remarks during a recent interview with British media personality Madame Joyce, where he rejected suggestions that his views on marriage could change as he gets older.

Caterefe said his decision is deliberate and that he does not expect time or age to alter his position. He explained that he sees his streaming career as his main priority and is determined to devote his attention to growing it.

“I am 24 years old. I was born in 2001, but I don’t know why people don’t believe me. I don’t want to get married, and I won’t change my mind with time,” he said.

The comedian added that he considers his career his main commitment, saying: “I got married to my job. I want to focus on streaming. That is my baby.”

Caterefe’s comments come despite his previous relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Emmanuella, with whom he has a child. Their relationship ended in a highly publicised breakup, with both parties making allegations of infidelity against each other.

His latest comments have since drawn attention online, particularly because marriage remains a major expectation placed on many young Nigerians. Caterefe, however, appears determined to chart a different path and concentrate on his ambitions in the rapidly growing streaming space.
