Nigerian streamer and comedian Carter Efe has stirred fresh controversy after claiming that the widely discussed wedding ceremony involving TikTok stars Peller and Jarvis was staged for content creation rather than being a legally recognised marriage.
The content creator made the remarks during a livestream while reacting to conversations surrounding the event, which attracted widespread attention across social media and generated mixed reactions from fans.
According to Carter Efe, he believes he was not invited because the ceremony was organised primarily as online entertainment and not as a traditional wedding.
“They do content, they say na wedding. Yes, na content now. You no know? No be real marriage. Na why dem no invite me,” he said.
He maintained that the event was designed to engage audiences online, insisting it should not be interpreted as an actual marriage ceremony.
The livestream later shifted to speculation about the couple’s future, with one of the co-hosts suggesting that a possible pregnancy announcement could also become part of their content strategy.
“In the next nine months, we go start to dey hear say Jarvis don get belle. So, that one too na content. It’s just content. The belle too, na just content,” the co-host said.
Carter Efe, however, distanced himself from the comments about Jarvis’ pregnancy, urging caution.
“But leave that woman belle, o,” he responded.
The co-host immediately withdrew the remark, adding, “Okay, na true. Make we no dey talk, allegedly, allegedly. Thank God say I remember.”
As of the time of filing this report, Peller and Jarvis had not publicly responded to Carter Efe’s claims regarding the authenticity of their wedding ceremony.
