Mason Haynes, the veteran celebrity bodyguard who spent years protecting members of the Kardashian family and several high-profile entertainers, has died following a traffic accident. He was 52.
According to a GoFundMe campaign created to support his family, Haynes died on July 4, just two days before what would have been his 53rd birthday.
Throughout his career in close protection, Haynes worked with some of the biggest names in entertainment. His clients included Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kanye West, Kevin Hart, Nicki Minaj, Charlie Puth, and Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton.
Haynes was also a member of the Kardashian security team during the 2016 armed robbery involving Kim Kardashian in Paris. Although he was linked to the high-profile incident, he later declined to speak publicly about the details.
His employer, Trojan Security UK, paid tribute to him, describing him as an “absolute legend” in the close-protection industry. The company shared a photograph of Haynes alongside Kris Jenner and said his passing was a significant loss to colleagues and friends.
The fundraising campaign described Haynes as more than a security professional, remembering him as a devoted family man, mentor and trusted friend who positively impacted many lives.
Organisers of the fundraiser said they had received hundreds of condolence messages from people who had worked with or known him over the years, highlighting his kindness, professionalism and dedication.
Haynes is survived by his wife, Fay, daughter Brooke, and son Noah. The fundraiser aims to assist the family with memorial expenses and provide financial support during this difficult period.
His death has prompted an outpouring of tributes from colleagues and members of the security industry who remembered him for his commitment to protecting others and his warm personality away from work.
