The Recording Academy has officially unveiled the schedule for the 2027 Grammy Awards, confirming the dates for nominations, voting and the main awards ceremony.
The announcement was made during an upfront presentation held in New York on Tuesday, signalling the start of another Grammy season for artists, producers and music fans around the world.
According to the organisers, nominations for the 2027 Grammy Awards will be announced on November 16, 2026.
Albums and recordings released between August 31, 2025, and August 28, 2026, will qualify for consideration in the upcoming edition of the awards.
The main Grammy Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on February 7, 2027.
The prestigious music event will be broadcast live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, one of the entertainment industry’s biggest venues.
In a major shift for the awards show, the 2027 Grammys will air on ABC and stream on Disney+ and Hulu, ending the Academy’s long-running partnership with CBS after 54 consecutive years.
The move marks one of the biggest broadcasting changes in Grammy history and reflects the growing influence of streaming platforms in global entertainment.
The Recording Academy also confirmed the announcement through its official Instagram page, where it encouraged music lovers and industry professionals to prepare for the new Grammy season.
“IT’S TIIIIIME! The road to the 2027 Grammys officially begins now,” the post read.
“Mark your calendars for submissions, nominations, voting, and all the key moments leading up to Music’s Biggest Night.”
The Grammy Awards remain one of the most prestigious honours in the global music industry, recognising outstanding achievements across multiple genres and categories.
The 2027 edition is expected to attract major international artists, including several African and Nigerian musicians who have continued to gain recognition on the global stage in recent years.
