A former chairman of Konshisha Local Government Area in Benue State, Moses Shirsha, has died just four days after the passing of his wife, Mercy Mngu, in a heartbreaking turn of events.
Family sources said Mercy Mngu died suddenly on March 25, 2026, leaving relatives and the local community in shock.
Days later, on March 29, Shirsha reportedly slumped and died in his village while making arrangements for his wife’s burial.

The back-to-back losses have plunged the community into mourning, with many describing the incident as a devastating tragedy for the family and the Konshisha area.
Both husband and wife are scheduled to be laid to rest on the same day April 10, 2026 in Mbaasuku, Mbator Gaav, in Konshisha Local Government Area.
