American rapper Cardi B has vowed to pursue legal action after thieves used her American Express card to make lavish purchases totaling $60,000.
Speaking during an Instagram livestream, Cardi B revealed that her credit card was stolen from her wallet several days ago. According to the rapper, the culprits went on a shopping spree, spending $40,000 at Saks Fifth Avenue and an additional $20,000 at an Apple Store before she was able to freeze the card.
“I got clear pictures of you all in Saks and in the Apple store. One thing about me is that I don’t play with my money. You all are going to jail,” Cardi B said, underscoring her determination to hold the thieves accountable.
The rapper also claimed that the suspects attempted to withdraw cash from a Chase Bank branch, but her vigilance and prompt action limited further financial loss.
Cardi B’s livestream served as both a warning and a promise of justice, as she continues to investigate the theft and has obtained photographic evidence of the perpetrators.
The incident highlights growing concerns around credit card theft, even for high-profile figures, and Cardi B’s proactive approach demonstrates the importance of monitoring accounts and acting swiftly in such cases.
