Nigerian cleric and founder of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, has triggered widespread reactions after announcing plans to find a husband for his adopted autistic daughter, Chiemeka Chibuzor.

The announcement, made via his official Facebook page, comes just weeks after the pastor arranged the marriage of his autistic son, drawing renewed public attention to his approach to family and welfare decisions.

Chinyere revealed that Chiemeka is 21 years old and noted that despite her autism, she is able to speak and hear clearly. He shared her photo online and openly invited potential suitors to consider marriage under specific conditions.

According to him, any interested man must be young, physically fit, and mentally sound. He also outlined what he described as long-term support arrangements for the prospective couple.

Among the incentives listed were lifetime financial support, a permanently owned house registered in both names, and the promise of another property to be built for the couple in future.

He further stated that staff of Omega Power Ministries would conduct unannounced visits to ensure the daughter is well treated and protected within the marriage.

In his words, he wrote that the selected husband would receive “lifetime salary” and other unspecified benefits, while stressing that the arrangement is designed to secure the welfare of his adopted daughter.

The post has since generated mixed reactions across social media, with many Nigerians debating the ethics and implications of the clergyman’s unconventional approach to arranging marriages for his adopted children.

While supporters view it as an effort to guarantee long-term care, critics argue that it raises questions about consent, independence, and the boundaries of parental authority.
