The Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri Erewa, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of a Nigerian woman, Nihinloluwa Agoro, and her two children, Temiloluwa and Isaac, in a fatal road accident in the United States.
The tragic incident reportedly occurred in Fort Bend County on Sunday, March 15, 2026, as the family was said to be on their way to church.
In a statement issued by the Commission’s Head of Media, Public Relations and Protocols Unit, Abdur Rahman Balogun, Dabiri Erewa described the loss as heartbreaking and devastating.
“This sudden loss is painful and tragic for any family,” she said, while extending condolences to the bereaved relatives.
She also prayed for the repose of the deceased and comfort for those left behind, and wished a speedy recovery to others reportedly injured in the crash.
Dabiri Erewa urged motorists to exercise caution on the roads, stressing the need to prevent avoidable tragedies.
She added that the Commission stands in solidarity with the Nigerian community in Texas and across the United States during the difficult period.
The incident has sparked grief among Nigerians at home and in the diaspora, highlighting ongoing concerns about road safety.
