The Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football has acknowledged the ruling of the Confederation of African Football Appeal Board following the disputed AFCON 2025 Final.

In a statement published on its official website, the federation explained that its appeal was intended to ensure the proper application of competition rules, rather than challenge the sporting merit of any participating team.

“The Federation reiterates that its approach has always been grounded in respect for the rules and stability of African competitions,” the statement read.

It further disclosed that a more detailed position would be issued after a meeting of its governing bodies scheduled for Wednesday.

According to the federation, the forthcoming statement will clarify its stance and outline any legal or administrative steps it may take if necessary.

The ruling by CAF’s Appeal Committee has sparked fresh debate over governance and regulatory consistency in African football, with stakeholders calling for clearer rules and more transparent decision-making processes across competitions.
