The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday officially welcomed Plateau State Governor Caleb Muftwang into the party during a ceremony in Jos, the state capital.

Muftwang’s Political Adviser, Istifanus Nwansat, said the governor’s decision to join the APC was influenced by the ongoing crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“The turbulence in the PDP has made it an unrealistic platform for political actors to contest elections,” Nwansat explained.

He added that the defection aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s political and governance trajectory in Plateau State, signaling a strategic move for upcoming elections and political stability.
