Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has reaffirmed his commitment to expanding digital literacy, fostering innovation, and ensuring equal learning opportunities for all children, whether in urban or rural areas.

Speaking at the “Class Is Open Everywhere” DigiTruck Digital Skills Training Programme on Tuesday, the Governor—represented by Commissioner of Youth Development, Barrister Gloria Ibrahim—emphasized that access to technology and essential skills is no longer a luxury but a necessity for the students of Kaduna.

Governor Sani highlighted that the mobile digital classroom will travel directly to secondary schools, “bringing learning to the students instead of waiting for students to find learning,” ensuring that educational opportunity is not limited by location.

The programme will introduce students to core skills such as basic computing, AI fundamentals, digital creativity, and other critical 21st-century competencies. “These are the very skills that will define employability, innovation, and leadership in the years ahead,” he added.

During its tour in Kaduna State, the DigiTruck is expected to visit 20 to 30 schools across the state’s three zones, impacting over 1,000 students. For many participants, this will be their first hands-on interaction with technology, potentially shaping future career paths.

Governor Sani expressed confidence that the initiative will “spark curiosity, build confidence, and inspire our students to see themselves not only as users of technology but as creators and problem-solvers.”

He encouraged students to engage actively: “Participate, ask questions, explore, and make the most of this opportunity. The future you are preparing for is already here, and this programme is opening the door for you to step into it.”
