First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Thursday urged Nigerians to embrace national unity, service, and collective purpose as she received an award at the Leadership Annual Conference and Awards 2025 in Abuja.

In her address, Mrs. Tinubu emphasized that Nigeria’s progress hinges on its ability to work together across political, cultural, and religious divides. “The future of our nation depends on our willingness to work together across cultural and religious differences for the good of all. For a house divided against itself cannot stand,” she stated.

Describing the award as a shared recognition rather than a personal accolade, the First Lady dedicated it to all who support and uplift others, particularly women, youth, and community leaders. She also praised the Leadership Newspaper for sustaining the vision of its late founding chairman, Mr. Sam Nda-Isaiah.

Highlighting the significance of the event, Mrs. Tinubu lauded the keynote address by UN Deputy Secretary-General, Dr. Amina Mohammed, for offering practical guidance for national development. She encouraged Nigerians to work collectively, selflessly, and compassionately to build a better nation.

“I dedicate this award to every citizen who believes that selflessness and humaneness can truly change lives,” she concluded.
