A support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), the North-West APC Youth Frontiers, has rejected allegations of anti-party activities levelled against a Zamfara State lawmaker, Rep. Sani Aminu Jaji, describing the claims as baseless and politically motivated.
Rep. Jaji, who represents the Kauran Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency, was recently accused by some party members of working against the interests of the APC. However, the youth group said the allegations were a calculated attempt to tarnish his image and weaken his standing within the party.
In a statement issued in Sokoto on Tuesday, the group’s Coordinator, Malam Danladi Cika, described Jaji as a strategic legislator and experienced politician who played a visible and impactful role in strengthening the APC during the 2023 general elections across Zamfara State, the North-West region, and beyond.
According to the statement, Jaji engaged widely with critical stakeholders, including religious leaders, Islamic organisations in Kaduna, the Arewa Farmers Association, student unions, and emerging political platforms such as the Northern Christian Political Forum, all in support of the APC’s electoral success.
The group also cited his role as Director of Contact and Mobilisation for the APC in the North-West and his position as a presidential return agent during the 2023 elections as clear evidence of his loyalty and commitment to the party.
Cika further noted that the lawmaker’s philanthropic interventions have had tangible impact on communities across Zamfara State and other parts of the country, describing it as “illogical and misleading” to associate him with anti-party conduct.
He dismissed the accusations as the handiwork of “failed political opportunists” who, he said, were unable to deliver results even at their own polling units.
The North-West APC Youth Frontiers reaffirmed its full support for Rep. Jaji and pledged continued loyalty to the APC leadership at the ward, state, and national levels, urging party members to remain united ahead of future political engagements.
