Barrister Ndidi Anike Val-Okeoma has officially launched Judges, a mentorship programme designed to nurture, empower and connect young women, marking a significant step in advancing female leadership and personal development in Nigeria.
The inaugural event took place on January 17, 2026, in Owerri, where Val-Okeoma, popularly known as the Voice, revealed that the vision for the initiative was conceived 23 years ago during her time at law school. Drawing inspiration from Judges 4 and 5:7, she described Judges as a purpose-driven community built on unity, healing and mutual respect among women.
According to the convener, the programme is aimed at raising women of substance by providing mentorship, guidance, emotional support and access to meaningful networks.
“Judges is a platform where women arise, voices are strengthened, and futures are shaped,” she said, noting that the initiative seeks to equip participants to thrive personally, professionally and spiritually.
The launch featured prayers led by Pastor Mrs. Chinenye Nnabugwu, who referenced 2 Timothy 4:7 while praying for sustainability, grace and global relevance for the programme. She described Val-Okeoma as a woman of humility whose voice, she said, carries the potential for international impact.
The event attracted professionals, faith leaders and young women, all united by a shared commitment to mentorship and female empowerment.
