Nollywood star Regina Daniels has said she has no plans to remarry following her separation from politician and businessman Senator Ned Nwoko. The actress made the revelation while responding to a fan who asked whether she would consider marriage again in the future.
Daniels, who has faced intense media scrutiny over her previous marriage, admitted that the idea of entering the institution again is one she finds deeply unsettling. She described herself as “traumatised,” suggesting the experience has left lasting emotional scars.
The fan had specifically asked whether she might, at least, marry someone closer to her age. Daniels dismissed the possibility entirely, stressing that she is done with marriage in any form.
Her brief but striking response — “Nopeee traumatized with that institution” — has since triggered a wave of reactions across social media, where many have debated the pressures faced by young women in high-profile marriages.
The actress’ marriage to Nwoko was heavily publicised, largely due to their significant age difference and the senator’s polygamous family structure. Their separation has continued to generate headlines months after it became public.
Daniels, who has often spoken about navigating fame, motherhood and personal identity, appears to be choosing a period of emotional recovery over romantic commitments. She did not elaborate further on what aspects of her former marriage she found traumatising.
Her latest comments add to an ongoing public conversation about the personal cost of celebrity marriages and the societal expectations placed on young actresses in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
