Anthony Joshua will step into the ring against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul this weekend in Miami, in one of the most unconventional heavyweight bouts modern boxing has witnessed.

The fight has sparked intense debate across the sport, pitching a former two-time world heavyweight champion against a social media star whose rapid rise has been marked by spectacle, controversy and carefully selected opponents.

Paul enters the contest on the back of high-profile wins, including a controversial victory over Mike Tyson and a knockout of Tyron Woodley, though his only professional defeat came against Tommy Fury, a loss he has described as the lowest moment of his career.

Now facing Joshua, widely regarded as one of the most dangerous heavyweights of his generation, Paul has labelled the matchup the biggest test of his boxing journey, insisting he is ready to “shock the world” on the sport’s grandest stage.
