Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo rolled out a grand celebration in Lagos to welcome her daughter Priscilla Ojo, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, and their baby boy Rakeem back to Nigeria — marking the family’s first visit together since the child’s birth.
The joyful homecoming turned into a vibrant cultural fest as traditional drummers, singers, and dancers greeted the family upon arrival, filling the atmosphere with music and excitement.
A video shared on Iyabo Ojo’s Instagram page on Tuesday, captioned “Welcome to Nigeria #rakeem_mk”, showed scenes from the star-studded event attended by family and friends, including entrepreneur and Priscilla’s godmother Chioma Ikokwu, popularly known as Chioma GoodHair.
The family’s arrival followed an elaborate 40-day celebration and naming ceremony for baby Rakeem held earlier this month in Tanzania. Priscilla also posted clips from their journey from Tanzania to Nigeria, expressing gratitude to her mother and godmother, writing:
“Rakeem is lucky. Thank you Glamma and Godmother #iyaboojofespris and #chiomagoodhair.”
Priscilla gave birth to baby Rakeem in Canada on August 24, 2025, before returning to Tanzania, where Juma Jux organised a grand reception in their honour. The Lagos event marks the infant’s first visit to Nigeria, symbolising a joyful union of both families and cultures.
The heartwarming video of the celebration has since gone viral, with fans flooding social media to congratulate Iyabo Ojo on becoming a grandmother and to celebrate Priscilla’s growing family.
