Former Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum has been honoured with induction into the prestigious United Soccer Coaches Hall of Fame, joining the Class of 2026 for his remarkable contributions to football coaching and player development.

Waldrum, 69, will be inducted alongside three other distinguished coaches during the 86th annual United Soccer Coaches Convention, scheduled to take place from January 12–17, 2026, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The American tactician served as head coach of Nigeria’s Super Falcons between 2020 and 2024, leading the team to the Round of 16 at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup — one of the country’s strongest performances on the global stage in recent years.

Before taking charge of Nigeria’s women’s national team, Waldrum had managed the Trinidad and Tobago women’s national side, and also built a distinguished career in U.S. college football, where he coached at Notre Dame and Pittsburgh, among others.

His induction into the United Soccer Coaches Hall of Fame recognizes decades of service to the game, particularly his impact on women’s football and international coaching excellence.
