The 1988 graduating set of Emmanuel College Old Students’ Association (ECOL), Owerri, Imo State, will converge on Port Harcourt, Rivers State, this weekend for their 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM).

According to the association’s National Public Relations Officer, Frank Okafor, the three-day programme runs from Friday, October 3 to Sunday, October 5, and will deliberate on issues affecting both the school and the alumni body.

Highlights of the event include a public lecture, a “Walk for Life” fitness exercise, and a thanksgiving service to round off the gathering.

Several dignitaries are expected to attend, among them Eze Aro, Eze Eberechukwu Oji, and former General Manager of the Imo Transport Company, Dr. Emeka Ariguzo.

Chairman of the AGM Planning Committee, Chimere Nwoji, praised the National Coordinator for entrusting his team with the responsibility of hosting, pledging a well-organised and impactful meeting.

The ECOL ’88 set has been at the forefront of reviving Emmanuel College’s deteriorating infrastructure, funding several rehabilitation projects to restore the institution’s pride of place in Imo State.
