Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has said the only situation that could cause him concern is if President Bola Tinubu expresses dissatisfaction with his performance in office.

Speaking during the flag-off of access road projects (ILS 02 and ILS 03 – Timipre Sylva Street) in Mabushi District, Abuja, Wike dismissed criticism and attempts at blackmail from contractors, stressing that he remains focused on delivering under the president’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

“The only way I will be worried is if my appointor is not satisfied with what I’m doing. Then I will be worried,” Wike said.

He warned contractors against colluding with civil servants over project awards, adding that he would not tolerate any form of compromise in the execution of contracts.

The former Rivers State governor insisted that no amount of blackmail would derail his commitment to due process and service delivery.

“Say what you want to say, I will not [be moved]. My skin is so thick, so strong. As a politician, you should know that there are things you will see. No politician that people will not say something against, so why are you worried?” he added.

Wike further pledged to support all sectors—transport, agriculture, and beyond—so long as stakeholders align with the Renewed Hope agenda of the Tinubu administration.
