Australian A-League Women’s champions Melbourne City FC have completed the signing of Nigerian international Chinaza Uchendu, adding firepower to their attack ahead of the new season.

The 27-year-old forward joins from French side Nantes Féminines, bringing with her a wealth of international experience across Europe and Asia.

Uchendu has enjoyed stints with some of the world’s top clubs, including Galatasaray in Turkey—where she lifted a league title—as well as spells in Portugal, Sweden, South Korea, and her home country, Nigeria.

Known for her versatility in attack, Uchendu has been capped 10 times by the Super Falcons and is expected to bolster Melbourne City’s frontline with her pace, creativity, and finishing ability.
