The spotlight is back on Africa’s biggest stage as De9jaspirit Talent Hunt (DTH) Season 4 kicks off after months of anticipation, promising a thrilling 10-week journey filled with music, dance, poetry, comedy, magic, and sheer raw talent. The competition begins September 7 and will run until November 9, 2025, with a record-breaking ₦30 million cash prize for the ultimate winner.

This year’s edition takes things a notch higher, following DTH’s first-ever Campus Tour across five Nigerian universities in July, where thousands auditioned free of charge—abolishing registration fees for the first time. From UNIPORT to UNIBEN, UNILAG to UNIABUJA, and IMT Enugu, the show tapped straight into the heartbeat of youth culture to select its 22 finalists.

Among them are powerful vocalists like Chris Vic, Glory Henry, BigSøma, Blessed Ikpi, and Hailwin; spoken word artists such as The Global Poet, Neji Irregular, and Loveth Liberty; comedians Da Messenger and MC Olaks; illusionist Phoenix the Magician; and dance powerhouses Kidsteppers, Team Unbeatables, and The Elite Kings Dance Crew International. Adding flair are saxophonist Jeremiah Fjsax and contortionist Body Engine, both set to deliver performances that defy imagination.

The competition doesn’t just celebrate talent—it raises the stakes with weekly prizes of ₦500,000 for best performers and additional runner-up prizes of ₦7 million and ₦3 million. It’s not only about winning; every performance is a chance to be rewarded and recognized on the continental stage.

Holding the show together is a star-studded panel of judges: Liquorose, Vector, Ini Edo, and IK Ogbonna, with VJ Adams returning as host. The panel’s blend of music, film, and cultural influence ensures the contestants are critiqued by some of Nigeria’s most iconic voices in entertainment.

Viewers can catch weekly episodes every Tuesday on Soundcity TV (DSTV 327, GOTV 21) at 8 PM, and every Saturday on Africa Magic Family (DSTV 21, GOTV 7) at 6 PM. Live shows stream every Sunday at 7 PM via the DTH App, where subscribers on ₦5,000 and ₦10,000 plans can vote, play games, and unlock exclusive rewards.

Season 4 marks a turning point in the show’s history. From the humble beginnings of Season 1 where singer Konstance walked away with ₦10 million, to last year’s Exoduz Dance Crew win that came with ₦10 million, a brand-new car, and a trip to the Maldives, the show has consistently grown into a pan-African force. This year, however, promises to surpass all expectations.
