Controversial relationship therapist and social media personality, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has come out swinging over the arrest of her fiancé, popular auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna a.k.a. IVD, who was detained by the Lagos State Police at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport while attempting to travel to Qatar for their planned wedding.

IVD’s arrest, which occurred over the weekend, is linked to the unresolved 2022 domestic violence case involving the tragic death of his late wife, Bimbo Ogbonna. The case had sparked national outrage at the time, with renewed attention now following his recent attempted international travel.

Blessing CEO took to Instagram on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, to blast what she described as “unjust harassment” of her fiancé, accusing the authorities of using the case to “emotionally manipulate and punish” him without presenting any formal charges or a valid travel restriction. “They are bullying IVD and it’s getting out of hand. I won’t tolerate this anymore,” she wrote.

She claimed that IVD’s passport was only recently reissued after being missing for over two years and questioned why he was arrested without a warrant or pending court order. According to her, the police have not filed any formal statement and have told her IVD will remain in custody until at least Monday.

Blessing CEO alleged that since the case began three years ago, her fiancé has been constantly targeted by a calculated smear campaign driven by vendetta and public pressure. She insisted that IVD is innocent and vowed to fight back if the situation persists.

“There’s no formal case, no travel ban, no court order—just power play and emotional torture,” she said in one of her videos. She warned that she would take legal and social action if what she termed “this injustice” continues.

Her outburst comes just days before the couple was reportedly scheduled to have their wedding in Qatar, a union that has stirred heated conversations online due to the controversial history surrounding IVD’s past.
