Tensions have erupted online as Davido unfollowed Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo on Instagram, following a leaked WhatsApp group chat released by controversial influencer VeryDarkMan. The chat, which has since gone viral, features Iyabo accusing the award-winning singer of using Mohbad’s death for clout.

The leaked conversation showed Iyabo lashing out at Davido for not unfollowing Naira Marley, despite claiming to be a strong supporter of justice for the late singer Mohbad. She questioned his sincerity, saying, “He flew down like he claimed to fight for justice, but he still dey follow Naira Marley. That means he was chasing clout. I’m so disappointed… Jess fake love 001.”

Davido’s response was swift and silent — he unfollowed Iyabo on Instagram without a public statement. A quick check confirms Iyabo still follows him as of Monday morning, August 4, 2025, but the digital bridge appears to have collapsed.

Iyabo, who once led the high-profile “Justice for Mohbad” campaign, has been in the spotlight for spearheading protests and opening a WhatsApp group to coordinate celebrity involvement after Mohbad’s mysterious death in September 2023. The singer’s passing sparked national outrage and candlelight processions in multiple cities, with celebrities like Falz, Zlatan, and Davido in attendance.

However, the movement has since grown chaotic, with multiple factions, infighting, and now — a public fallout between two major figures. In a previous interview, Iyabo even expressed regret over advocating for Mohbad’s body to be exhumed, a decision that drew mixed reactions.

VeryDarkMan, known for his online takedowns and exposés, reignited the controversy by posting the alleged group chat, leading to this latest chapter of celebrity fallout.

Fans have since taken sides, with hashtags like #FakeLove001, #JusticeForMohbad, and #IyaboVsDavido trending on X (formerly Twitter).
