The Nigerian government, through the Made in Nigeria Project Office, is organizing a major international economic and property forum in Istanbul, Turkey, aimed at encouraging Nigerians in the diaspora to invest in real estate back home.
The event, titled the Nigeria-Turkey Economic Forum & Nigerian Property Expo, will run from November 18–21, 2025, in Avcilar City, Istanbul, under the theme:
“Tapping Nigeria’s Potential and Strategies to Becoming a Leading Manufacturing and Production Hub of Africa, the Natural Resources Supply Chain.”
Promoted with the tagline “Buy Nigerian House, Own a Nigerian Home,” the forum will focus on connecting diaspora investors to Nigerian property developers, mortgage services, and housing finance opportunities.
According to Hon. Nwabueze George, Executive Director of the Made in Nigeria Project Office, the event is part of a broader strategy to channel diaspora capital into national development.
“Real estate is one of the most accessible ways for our diaspora to own a piece of home,” he said.
“This expo is not just about housing—it’s about identity, national pride, and building transnational wealth that connects Nigerians abroad with economic growth at home.”
He added that the event will also spotlight investment opportunities in industrial zones, real estate-backed manufacturing clusters, and public-private partnerships.
The four-day event is expected to attract developers, state representatives, and policymakers from both Nigeria and Turkey. It will also feature exhibitions, cultural exchange, entertainment, and bilateral business sessions.
