The Made in Nigeria Project Office will host a major economic forum and National Day Awards from October 10–12, 2025, in Hong Kong, China, as part of Nigeria’s ongoing efforts to position itself as a global manufacturing and trade hub.

The event will take place at the Hong Kong International Conference Centre and is expected to attract dignitaries, entrepreneurs, diplomats, and investors. Attendees include:

Speaking ahead of the event, Hon. Nwabueze George said the forum reflects a long-term national ambition to shift Nigeria from an import-dependent economy to an export-driven one.

“We are telling the world that Nigeria is open for business, and we’re ready to lead in production, processing, and value addition,” George stated.

“Our message to the global market is clear: invest in Nigeria’s potential, and you’re investing in Africa’s future.”

He added that Hong Kong, as a global trade and logistics hub, offers a strategic platform to engage with Asian investors and diaspora leaders.

The programme includes investment panels, Nigerian product exhibitions, cultural showcases, and the Made in Nigeria Awards recognising outstanding contributions to the country’s global image.
