Big Brother Naija is back with a bang as organisers confirm the premiere of its 10th season this July, promising the biggest prize pool in the show’s history—a jaw-dropping ₦150 million for the ultimate winner.
The highly anticipated season was unveiled at a press briefing on Wednesday, where fan-favourite host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu was confirmed to return. Ebuka, a household name since anchoring the show’s second season, hailed the milestone moment for Nigerian television and teased that the anniversary edition would “surpass all expectations.”
According to the organisers, the BBNaija franchise has featured 197 housemates across nine seasons, racked up 709 days of non-stop drama on air, and disbursed a total of ₦637 million in prizes—making it Africa’s most successful reality show.
Last year’s edition, tagged “No Loose Guard,” introduced a dramatic twist with contestants auditioning and entering the house in pairs. That twist birthed some of the most chaotic alliances and strategic break-ups in the show’s history. Kellyrae eventually walked away with the ₦100 million prize, becoming BBNaija’s first-ever married winner.
Season 10 will kick off with a two-day launch event, bringing back the glitz, controversy, and celebrity-making magic BBNaija is known for. This year’s edition is expected to attract record-breaking entries, massive social media traction, and over 100 million votes across platforms.
Producers hinted at new house designs, brand collaborations, interactive fan experiences, and “surprise twists” that will shake the house from week one. Sponsors and digital partners are already gearing up for a marketing blitz ahead of the launch weekend.
BBNaija Season 10 is positioned to not only dominate conversations but redefine the scale of African entertainment reality TV. As countdown begins, fans are urged to get ready for another wild ride into the Big Brother house.
