A shocking case has emerged from Kwara State, Nigeria, where Dr. Abbas Adio Adeyemi Adebowale, a consultant orthopedic surgeon and former Chief Medical Director of Kaiama General Hospital, has been arrested for the alleged murder of multiple individuals, including his girlfriend and a housewife.

According to reports, Dr. Adebowale was apprehended in Edo State in connection with the killing of a cab driver, Emmanuel Yobo Agbovinuere, whose body was found along the Benin-Lagos highway. Following his arrest, further investigations led authorities to Kaiama General Hospital, where the decomposed bodies of two women were discovered buried within the hospital premises.

One of the victims, identified as Nofisat Halidu, had been declared missing since November 2021. Her body was found concealed in a trash can filled with cement in the hospital’s store. Another victim, Ifeoluwa, believed to be the doctor’s girlfriend, was found buried in a shallow grave within the hospital premises.

The Kwara State Police Command has stated that Dr. Adebowale confessed to the killings, including the murder of the cab driver and the two women. He also admitted to being involved in organ harvesting, allegedly selling human organs to unidentified individuals.

This case has sent shockwaves throughout Nigeria, raising concerns about the safety and ethics within the medical profession. Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
