Abuja is set to host one of Nigeria’s most significant economic gatherings yet—the Abuja Economic Forum and Trade Expo Nigeria, scheduled for November 15 to 25, 2025. Spearheaded by the Made in Nigeria Project Office, the 10-day event is designed to spark cross-sector dialogue, drive economic policy reform, and create high-value opportunities for local producers, entrepreneurs, and investors.

According to George Buchi Nwabueze, the Project Lead, the forum isn’t just another trade exhibition—it’s a national movement to champion local content and empower Nigerian enterprises. “We aim to create opportunities, foster collaborations, and drive economic growth through local content,” Nwabueze stated, underscoring the significance of the event in Nigeria’s long-term development strategy.

The Expo will feature exhibitions spanning agriculture, manufacturing, fashion, tech innovation, real estate, and services, providing Nigerian brands with direct access to investors, trade partners, and international buyers. The event is expected to attract participants from across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas, firmly positioning Abuja as a rising hub for regional economic discourse.

This initiative aligns with the federal government’s broader strategy to diversify Nigeria’s economy, reduce dependence on oil revenues, and strengthen local production. With Nigeria actively seeking to deepen Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and support SMEs, the expo arrives at a critical moment for showcasing the nation’s entrepreneurial capacity.

The Made in Nigeria Project Office, now a statutory entity under the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), is leveraging its new institutional status to organize what stakeholders are calling the most impactful business-to-business (B2B) and policy-to-practice event in Nigeria’s recent history.

As preparations intensify, the organizers are calling on public and private stakeholders—including government agencies, development partners, diplomatic missions, and corporate players—to get involved. Exhibitor slots, sponsorship packages, and speaking opportunities are now open for registration via the official event portal.

By bringing global attention to local excellence, the Abuja Economic Forum and Trade Expo Nigeria 2025 is set to become a cornerstone in Nigeria’s evolving economic narrative.
