Shock and outrage have engulfed Access Bank after Stephen Ifeanyichukwu Ejezie, a former quality assurance specialist at the bank’s Oniru, Lagos contact centre, was caught secretly recording female colleagues in the restroom, with over 400 explicit videos later uncovered on his devices. The disturbing discovery, made around 1:30 am on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, has ignited anger among staff who fear justice may be denied.
Contact centre workers who spoke with reporters said Ejezie was caught hiding in the female restroom attempting to film unsuspecting female colleagues bathing and changing. A female staff member noticed a smartphone camera recording her from a nearby toilet cubicle and immediately raised the alarm, leading to Ejezie’s exposure after staff forced the stall open.

Following the incident, Access Bank security apprehended Ejezie, and police officers raided his home in Lagos on Thursday, April 24, 2025, uncovering over 400 videos allegedly showing naked colleagues. Sources claim he sold the videos via platforms like OnlyFans and Telegram, reportedly targeting international buyers from India and Europe in a shocking breach of trust and privacy.
Despite the gravity of the crime, Ejezie was allegedly released after initial detention, fueling suspicions among staff that the bank is quietly moving to contain the scandal rather than pursuing full legal action. Staff members, many of whom are contract workers, expressed fears that the bank’s reputation is being prioritized over their right to justice and emotional safety.
Screenshots captured by investigators revealed that as of Friday morning, April 25, Ejezie’s LinkedIn profile still listed Access Bank as his employer before it was swiftly edited to show otherwise within hours. Insiders disclosed that he had joined the bank in February 2023 and was promoted to quality assurance specialist just eight months later in October 2023.

Several traumatised employees who spoke anonymously revealed that many affected individuals may never know they were recorded, with devastating consequences for future careers, reputations, and mental health. Access Bank’s management reportedly held a crisis meeting, banning staff from overnight stays but offering no counselling or meaningful support to those impacted by the horrifying breach.
Requests for official comment from Access Bank had gone unanswered as of Saturday morning, April 26, 2025, deepening concerns that the institution may attempt to sweep the matter under the rug, leaving victims vulnerable and silenced at a time when accountability is urgently needed.
