Ahead of Valentine’s Day, the Seyi Tinubu Support Initiative (STSI) has announced a nationwide campaign to spread love and hope by visiting correctional facilities across Nigeria. As part of this effort, the group will pay the fines of at least 100 inmates, granting them freedom and reuniting them with their families.

Speaking to journalists on Monday, February 4, the group’s convener, Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo, emphasized that the outreach, which kicks off at Kirikiri Maximum Security Correctional Centre, Lagos, would extend to Ogun, Kuje (Abuja), and other custodial centers across the six geopolitical zones.

“This initiative is about restoring dignity, offering hope, and ensuring that inmates who are in prison due to their inability to pay fines can return to their families. Love is the essence of Valentine’s, and we want to spread that love where it’s needed most,” Adebanjo stated.

According to him, Seyi Tinubu has always been passionate about humanitarian causes, particularly in providing freedom for marginalized individuals.

“Over time, we have supported indigent patients by paying medical bills, provided school materials for children, and executed several impactful projects nationwide. This is just another way of giving back to society,” he added.

The initiative is set to run in batches, ensuring that several correctional centers benefit from the outreach before February 14. Beneficiaries will not only have their fines paid but will also receive reintegration support to help them adjust to life outside prison.

As STSI prepares to embark on this transformational project, Nigerians have praised the move, calling it a true embodiment of love beyond mere celebrations.
