Goddy-Mbakwe Chimamaka Precious has been expelled from Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, following a disciplinary review that found her guilty of physically assaulting a lecturer in the Department of Theatre and Film Studies.

The expulsion was confirmed in a statement released on Friday by the university’s Acting Registrar, Victor Modebelu. The decision, approved by the Acting Vice-Chancellor based on the findings of the Student Disciplinary Committee, underscores the institution’s strict stance on maintaining discipline and upholding ethical standards among students.

According to the official statement, Chimamaka Precious violated Regulation 4 of the institution’s Student Disciplinary Regulations, which categorically prohibits gross misconduct, including acts of violence against faculty members.

“The Ag. Vice-Chancellor, consequently, on behalf of the University Senate, approved the Committee’s recommendation that you be expelled and you are hereby expelled from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka,” the statement read.

The university management reiterated its commitment to fostering a safe and respectful academic environment, warning that acts of indiscipline would not be tolerated.
