Emmanuel Chukwuma, aged 47, has been apprehended by the Lagos State police for fatally stabbing his girlfriend, Bosede Adefehinti, aged 45, on 7th Avenue in Festac.

Reports indicate that the man, known as Oliver in the neighborhood, was in a relationship with the woman but they were not married and did not have children together. It’s known that he has a child from a previous relationship.

An anonymous eyewitness shared details, stating, “Yesterday around 2:30 pm, Oliver stabbed his girlfriend. Afterward, he attempted to take his own life by jumping into a well, but we intervened and alerted the police.”

“They have had previous issues, but yesterday’s altercation was more intense,” the eyewitness added. “I believe the conflict arose from the man’s sense of inferiority due to unemployment. He assisted his girlfriend in selling herbal medicines known as Agbo, but often felt insecure when customers made remarks while she left him to handle sales.”
