Chelsea is reportedly in advanced negotiations to sign Barcelona’s Marc Guiu, according to sources in Spain. The 18-year-old striker, who made his debut for Barcelona’s first team in the 2023-24 season, scored two goals in seven appearances across all competitions.

Guiu made his senior debut under coach Xavi last October, netting a goal with his second touch in a 1-0 victory against Athletic Bilbao.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea has presented a contract offer and is prepared to pay the €6 million release clause to finalize the deal soon.

New Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has reportedly had multiple conversations with Guiu, who is drawn to Chelsea’s focus on developing young players and believes the Premier League matches his playing style.

Additionally, Chelsea recently announced the signing of Brazilian teenage talent Estevao Willian from Palmeiras. The 17-year-old will officially join the team next summer upon turning 18.
