The United Entertainers Friends Forum (UEFF), has held an Award Festival in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

The event was held on Thursday April 11, 2024, at Rockview Hotel, Owerri, Thursday.

The Award Ceremony was graced by entertainers of Imo origin. Many persons were recognized for their outstanding service/performance to society through philanthropy, entertainment, politics or business.

The event  featured musicians from multiple genres of music like bongo, high life, hip hop, gospel, reggae, and cultural. Filmmakers, MCs, Comedians, Professional Dancers, among others were also present.

Speaking, President and Founder of The United Entertainers Friends Forum, Amb. Emmanuel Maduwuike, hinted that UEFF organized the event to reward some persons who outstandingly render selfless services to people in the state.

The UEFF President outlined that the awardees among who were Dr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu (President of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo), Evangelist Mike Ikoku (CEO of All Seasons Hotel), including other Entertainers and clergies, were adorned because of their contributions to the growth of humanity and the advancement of Imo State.

He congratulated them for meriting the medal of honor, assuring that UEFF will intensify rich entertainment to keep people happy and relaxed, appreciating members for their steadfastness.

“UEFF is composed of Musicians, Comedians, Actors and Dancers of Imo State origin and the Movie and Entertainment Industry have what it takes to rebrand the nation positively, thereby bringing revival to the dwindling economy”, Maduwuike outlined.

Encouraging Entertainers to remain focused because the entertainment industry pays well now,  veteran Nollywood Actor, Vitalis Ndubuisi, told the government to stop neglecting the entertainment industry and invest hugely in it.

Comedian Prince Igwe Johnson Tochukwu (CEO, Oluimo Comedy), urged the government to promote the entertainment industry in Imo State.
