According to the information available, the long-awaited findings of the investigation into the untimely death of Oromoni Jr. are scheduled to be disclosed to the public on Monday, April 15, 2024, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

It could be recalled that the tragic incident, which occurred on November 30, 2021, shook the entire nation to its core when 12-year-old Sylvester Oromoni Jr., a student at Down College in Lagos, succumbed to injuries sustained in an alleged attack by senior students, of the school.


The death of Oromoni sparked widespread outrage and increased calls for accountability within Nigeria’s educational institutions.

In response, the Lagos State government swiftly shutdown the school and launched a coronery inquest to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident, a process initiated in January 2022.

Throughout the inquiry, the Oromoni family, backed by the Human Rights Lawyer Chambers of Femi Falana (SAN), has steadfastly pursued truth and justice.
