Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the previous presidential election, has called on Nigerians to defend democracy by participating in the upcoming governorship and state assembly elections on March 18.

Despite the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) failure to transmit election results electronically in accordance with the Electoral Act 2022, Atiku urged voters not to succumb to apathy.

He accused INEC of manipulating the results of the previous election, breaching both the Electoral Act and its own guidelines. Atiku pledged to overturn the electoral fraud and reclaim his “mandate.” He encouraged citizens to cast their ballots for the PDP candidates and demonstrate against the previous election’s charade.
