As part of economic recovery plans for the world, Globe Chambers of Commerce and Industry will hold World Textile and Shoe Expo in London, UK this 2023

The event which is said to promote different textiles from across the world will have lots of countries coming together to share their cultural heritage via textiles and leather.

The event will give traditional textiles like the Japanese Kimonos, Scottish Kilts, Nigerian Aso-Oke fabrics and the Barkcloth fabrics produced by the Buganda Tribe as well as different decorative pieces which is meant to be enjoyed for their artistic value.

The event is said to hold from 5th to 10th of August 2023 in London United Kingdom.

Hon. Nwabueze Buchi George, who is the president of Globe Chambers of Commerce and Industry said that the event beyond being an exposition for textiles and shoes will also get people closer to histories and stories behind every textile they pick interest in.

He described the event as one of the new projects the organization is putting together in 2023 and will be holding alongside with Bactic-Africa Economic Corporation and Business Forum including the Euro Africa Economic Cooperation and Business Development Congress

World Textile and Shoe Expo is part of the efforts of the organization to strengthen trade between Africa and other continents.

Hon. Buchi George said that the event will offer people the opportunity to learn the stories behind different traditional fabrics from the various continents

“What we are doing will make forgotten fabrics come back to life again as designers around the world have realized that they can make beautiful dresses anybody from any part of the world can wear” he said.

Adding that the forum which is a global event will also be an opportunity for Africa and other countries showcase their fabrics and cultures at a global stage.
