Gunmen who abducted a private hospital owner identified as Abdulrasheed in Surulere Local Government Area of Oyo State have released him.

The victim runs a private hospital in Gbede in the Surulere Local Government Area.

The kidnapped victim was abducted last Friday night.

DAILY POST gathered that the kidnappers had earlier on Monday contacted the family, demanding a N30 million ransom.

A source however said that the kidnappers later released the victim after a sum of N3 million was paid.

Chairman, Surulere local government, Hon Isaiah Adegbite, who confirmed his release, said he was released after the family paid a ransom of N3m to the gunmen.

Our correspondent recalls that Christopher Bakare, a supervisor at the farm of a former governor of the state, the late Adebayo Alao-Akala, who was abducted a few days ago, was released after a sum of N5 million was paid as ransom.
