Former Commissioner of Agriculture and Natural resources in Jigawa State, Rabiu Isah Taura has picked the senatorial ticket for New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, in the Jigawa North-West zone.
Taura won the party’s senatorial ticket unopposed at the primary election held in Gumel town.
He is the North-West zonal chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party NNPP and had held the position in PDP before his move to NNPP.
For the Jigawa North-East senatorial district, Governor Muhammad Badaru’s running mate in 2011 under the Action Congress of Nigeria and a Peoples Democratic Party PDP gubernatorial aspirant in 2015, Danladi Auyo picked the ticket.
DAILY POST reported that Danladi Auyo alongside his supporters recently decamped to the New Nigeria Peoples Party NNPP from the ruling All Progressives Congress APC.
In Jigawa Central, however, Musa Bako Aujara emerged as his party’s consensus candidate.
He was a former senator during the second Republic and acting chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party NNPP in Jigawa State.
