Villarreal midfielder, Francis Coquelin has warned Liverpool that his team have confidence after eliminating Bayern Munich and Juventus from this season’s Champions League.
Coquelin warned Liverpool that Villarreal’s dream is to play in the Champions League final this season, adding that the Yellow Submarine are not just going to England just to look at Anfield.
Liverpool will on Wednesday night host Villarreal in the Champions League semi-final first-leg tie at Anfield.
“We have a dream in the back of our heads to play a Champions League final,” Coquelin told the Guardian.
“We know it is tough, but the whole team, the whole town, is excited. It is difficult, but we have got confidence.
“We knocked out Bayern Munich and Juventus and we are going there to compete. We are not going there just to look at Anfield,” he added.
